Pheromone & Attractant Traps

Pheromone traps contain sex pheromone lures that attract male moth species and catch them inside the traps. Catching these moths helps gardeners monitor population levels and alerts them to the initial presence of the moths, which is important given that moths have a highly plant damaging caterpillar stage within their life cycle. A reduction in male moth numbers can also reduce egg laying with less male moths able to mate with female moths.

Attractant traps contain scent lures that attract beetles and catch them inside the traps. The beetles are attracted to the fragrance and smell of the lures and the lures can attract both male and female beetles.
