There are many different types of nematodes, some beneficial and some less so! The nematodes used for insect pest control are called entomopathogenic nematodes. This group of nematodes are harmless to pets, humans and wildlife and provide effective biological control to an increasing range of plant damaging insect pests.

How To Apply Nematodes

• Apply your nematodes at the correct time of year
• Ensure soil, or compost, temperatures are high enough for nematode activity
• Create the optimal environment for the nematodes i.e. moist compost/soil, or humid conditions for leaf applications
• Nematode products should be fridge stored if conditions are not suitable for fast application after receipt
