Dragonfli's Tiny Wasps Flew Onto The One Show This Week, During A Special Feature On Wasps vs. Moths!
This week (15/10/24) BBC's The One Show featured a piece on Trichogramma wasps for the control of Clothes Moth. We were happy to supply the BBC with our very own Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets for the film. Word has now officially spread to media outlets about the advantages of using a more natural approach for the control of Clothes Moth!
Our Moth Egg Killer Sachet, contained within a transparent case, is used for inspection of the Trichogramma wasps.
Dragonfli's Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets Offer A Natural Solution To Infestations, No Nasty Chemicals Required
The short film first features an elderly lady and her daughter as they battle against a horrible Clothes Moth infestation in the mother's house. The daughter did not want her mother's health to be harmed by any insecticides used to control Clothes Moth. Herein lies one of the main reasons to consider using Dragonfli's natural Clothes Moth Egg Killer..
A fantastic cut sequence magnifies a view of our little wasps as they scurry amidst the sachet.
The Trichogramma Wasps Contained Within Our Sachets Are Tiny, But Highly Effective
Dragonfli's Moth Egg Killer Sachets contain tiny parasitic wasps called Trichogramma. These minute insects, which can be tricky to spot with the naked eye, seek out, parasitise and kill Clothes Moth eggs. These wasps are harmless to humans and pets.
Staff from the National Museum of Scotland have been deploying our Moth Egg Killer Sachets to protect their precious collections.
Our Specially Designed Sachets Release The Wasps Gradually, Giving Them The Best Chance Of Locating Clothes Moth Eggs
The unique design of the sachets ensures these mini parasites are released over a period of 3-4 weeks, giving the tiny wasps time to locate the Clothes Moth eggs. Once they find them, they inject their egg into the moth egg, which not only kills the Clothes Moth egg but enables a new parasitic wasp to develop inside, which then hatches to seek out more Clothes Moth eggs to parasitise.
A Trichogramma wasp exits the sachet emergence hole.
Once The Job Is Complete, The Wasps Die Out Naturally
Once all the eggs are parasitised, or the wasps are unable to locate any more eggs, the Trichogamma will die out naturally. We'd recommend having an active sachet at all times, however, to act as an insurance policy against any newly laid Clothes Moth eggs. We offer sachet subscription options for this very purpose.
One sachet is placed on the leather seat of antique car, at the National Museum of Scotland, to combat Clothes Moth larvae feeding on the horse hair within the seat seams.
Control Clothes Moths Today With Our Moth Egg Killer Sachets
No chemicals required, just nature at work, with a much more natural and healthy way to control Clothes Moth and the terrible damage their larvae can inflict to clothing, fabrics, carpets and curtains.

Hi Brenda,
Many thanks for getting in touch and for ordering with us.
The appearance of the sachets will not change over the four week period and will always give the illusion of appearing full, and unchanged, as egg shell casings and carrier material remain inside. This is completely normal.
The sachet has been specially designed to ensure a slow emergence of the wasps, over a four week period and you would be unlikely to see a flurry of activity at any one time, if indeed any wasps at all, as they are microscopically small. Each wasp measures less than 1mm in length and the size of each will vary, with some as small as 0.5mm!
If you happen to observe the sachet just as some wasps are emerging, you may see one or two crawling across the surface if you look closely. The wasps are not big enough to watch flying around the environment.
As long as the conditions are correct, the eggs should have matured and wasps emerged over the aforementioned time period.
We can appreciate it may be disconcerting to see no physical evidence of activity but results should become apparent for you in the minimisation of your clothes moth infestation as the wasps continue working in the background.
You could also utilise our Clothes Moth Pheromone Traps in order to ascertain how effective the sachets are for you by monitoring how many adult moths are caught and seeing the number reduce week on week.
I hope this helps but if you need any further assistance please don’t hesitate to reach out again and we’d be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,

Have been plagued by moths in my home which is over 100 years old. I am impressed with the reduction in moths in the rooms where I laid a packet of the parasitic wasps. I have noticed some moths returning after the trap dates expired so realise I need to order some more. The packets are expensive which puts me off ordering a few on a regular basis. Are there ties in the year when it isn’t necessary to repeat the process?

Not sure how effective tese wasps are beimg or whether we have used sachet correctly . Is it only the hole that should be open .We have not noted any activity and still have moths ??The bags feels just as full as when purchased.

Hi Elaine,
Many thanks for getting in touch and for your interest in our products.
You can indeed simultaneously apply our Clothes Moth Pheromone Traps and Moth Egg Killer Sachets. We do, in fact, firmly advocate this; as you will then be able to attack two life cycles of the pest at the same time.
The traps will catch the adult male moths and the Trichogramma wasps will parasitise the moth eggs. This will ensure that the life cycle is broken much more quickly and infestations can be eradicated in their entirety.
Just remember to place your sachets slightly away from your traps to prevent any of our little wasps from becoming inadvertently caught.
I hope this helps but if you need any further assistance please don’t hesitate to reach out again and we’d be more than happy to help.
Kind regards,

Hi Trish,
Many thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear of your infestation.
I’m glad, however, to hear that you have since seen a reduction in present moths since applying our Moth Egg Killer Sachets.
The sachets will indeed need replacing every 4 weeks to continue your protection, as indeed will any pheromone lures within your Clothes Moth Traps.
Warmer conditions will increase the likelihood of infestations but in centrally heated houses, Clothes Moths can present all year round unfortunately.
I would suggest maximising your controls now whilst it is warmer and then lessening the number of sachets / traps you apply as temperatures drop. This is without abandoning the controls entirely for long stretches of time as this may allow infestations to establish again.
I hope this helps but if you need any further assistance please don’t hesitate to reach out again and we’d be more than happy to help.
