Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachet (Trichogramma Parasitic Wasps, As Seen On TV!) - Ready To Use, Simply Place In Wardrobes & Other Infestation Hotspots

What Are Clothes Moths?

The most prevalent Clothes Moth in the U.K. is the Tineola Bisselliella. The larvae of such Clothes Moth will damage a variety of garments, particularly those of natural origin, such as natural woolCarpets are also subject to attack and infestation. Warm, contained settings such as wardrobes, cupboards and airing cupboards also provide an ideal environment for the larvae to develop. The larvae often produce a silk web that is much larger than the larvae itself. Clothes Moth can be active all year round between the temperatures of 15-33℃.

What Are Trichogramma Parasitic Wasps & How Can They Help?

Trichogramma are very small parasitic wasps, hard to spot with the naked eye, but identifiable when they are situated on the outside of the packaging. They will seek out  Clothes Moth eggs and lay their own eggs inside them, parasitising the moth eggs. They are harmless to humans and animals and remain only for as long as there are Clothes Moth eggs present. Our Moth Egg Killer Sachets can be used to combat a wide variety of moth pest species that include the Carnation Tortrix Moth and Pantry Moth.

Our Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets Release More Wasps & Kill More Moths

Our new Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets have been designed for improved and longer lasting control of Clothes Moth and other moth eggs.

Clothes Moth Egg Killer is supplied in a sachet containing the eggs of the tiny parasitic wasp: Trichogramma evanescens. These eggs hatch from the sachet over a period of 3 weeks releasing a continual supply of adult parasitic wasps into the surrounding area. The sachet has been developed with a focus on timed emergence with 2000 wasps emerging each week. It will usually take 2-3 days for the first adults to emerge.

The longer lasting hatch rate increases the ability of the parasitic wasps to locate more moth eggs, and at that the correct time for when they can be successfully parasitised and killed. The Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets also release 3x the amount of parasitic wasps than the previously sold Trichogramma Cards.

Sachets Ideal For Application In Wardrobes & Drawers, Or On Carpets & Rugs

Recent research has shown that the Trichogramma parasitic wasps like to fly upwards when they emerge from the sachets. For this reason we recommend that the sachet is lain flat. Simply place the sachets atthe bottom of wardrobes, in drawers, or on carpets and rugs. The wasps will walk out of the sachets first and spread out horizontally before they fly.

The sachets are supplied with a release hole on the top of the sachet, which is marked and already open. There is no need to open or cut the sachet.

The Benefits Of Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachets:

  • Up to 6,000 Trichogramma wasps per sachet
  • Trichogramma wasps released gradually from the sachets for three weeks
  • Introductions required only once every three weeks
  • Supplied as UK native species: Trichogramma evanescens

When Should I Use The Sachets?

Clothes Moths can be active all year round at indoor temperatures, and so too can these wasps. The trichogramma wasps require temperatures between 15-35℃ and will be able to combat re-emerging infestations of the Clothes Moth larvae throughout the year.

How Do I Apply The Sachets?

The Trichogramma pupae are supplied in a paper sachet. Place the sachet on a horizontal surface at the site of infestation: i.e. on top of your clothing, under furniture, etc. Please be careful not to block the emergence hole. The wasps will emerge from inside the sachet and seek out the moth eggs.

As the small adult wasps tend to fly upwards, place the sachet low.

Please do not open the sachets since the sachets are supplied with an emergence hole. Please also do not place objects on top of the sachets as you may damage the pupae inside.

How Many Sachets Do I Need?

From each sachet 6000 parasitic wasps will emerge over a period of three weeks. The sachet is recommended to cover an area of 25m2.

We advise you to check pest numbers after application and consider applying more Trichogramma if the number of moths remains high. For ongoing control sachets should be replaced every three weeks.

Can I Store The Trichogramma Wasps?

As the wasps will hatch at ambient temperatures it is recommended that you do not store these sachets. It is best to use them as soon as they arrive and order repeat sachets fresh when needed or purchase a Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachet Subscriptionto receive moth sachets every 3 weeks over a certain period of time, if tackling a Clothes or Carpet Moth infestation. Please contact us directly if you would like a Moth Egg Killer subscription that is not currently listed on our website.

Vacuuming & Insecticides

If you have Clothes Moth emerging from carpets, avoid hoovering entirely for 7-10 days after introduction of our Moth Egg Killer Sachets and reduce hoovering to a minimum for 3 weeks after application of sachet.

Please ensure no chemical treatments have been used prior to the introduction of Trichogramma. If you have used insecticides recently and are unsure how long the residues will remain, feel free to contact us.

Establish Complete Clothes Moth Control By Also Using Our Traps

It is also recommended that you first introduce our adult Clothes Moth Traps to assist in controlling infestations. The traps will contribute to reducing the number of adult male moths and prevent some moths from breeding. The traps also provide a visual indication of infestation levels.

Please do not release the Trichogramma wasps close to the traps. They will not be attracted to the traps but may fly in by accident and get stuck on the glue. Place the sachets away from where you have set up your traps.

Fantastic Product - Clothes Moth Egg Killer Sachet (Trichogramma Parasitic Wasps)

This is a truly honest and tested review.

I cannot being to descibe what a fantastic product this is.

We are a small business that deals mainly in Antique Welsh Woollen Blankets and heritage knitware, along with many other natural fiber articles, textiles and clothing.
Because of this clothes months are public enemy number one in our shop.
After years of using chemicals and phermone traps, I was desperately searching for a more natural way to contain any outbreaks and also distrupt both end of the life cycle of the moths that may enter our business.

Earlier in the year I purchased x20 sachets of the wasps and we have had these running for the past few months, I have noticed a drastic reduction in the moths caught on our traps and live ones within the building since using these. I have covered the whole property which is a 4 story town building, using roughly 2 to 3 sachets per room.
In truth I was extpecting to see these little things roaming around the place but after seeing a few hanging around on the packets after hatching, there is absolutly no way you will ever notice the wasps within the property due to how miniscule they are. By my count we should have had ~120,000 of these hunting their way around the building over the last 6 weeks or so, and I feel that there souldnt be too many more places for the clothes moths larvae to be hiding these days!

I am really impressed with this product, I am taken aback by how few people know of this method of control though. we have had a sign up in the shop that says we are trialing this product and nopt to be alarmed by the packets.
This sign has brought a lot of discussion around the product, I would love to have a printed product sheet that has a refrence to your brand or even a direct QR link to this page to display in our shop and hopefully get the word out to the masses out this wonderful product.

i will be placing another order in the coming moths to tie in with the next laying season of the moths, and another order in the new year to keep on top of the great work you have achieved this year!.

THANK YOU DRAGONFLI !

Fantastic.

We bought triccogamma wasp sachets and pheromone moth traps- early days for us but absolutely seem to be doing the job as in this hot summer heat we have seen fewer moths and the ones we are seeing are being caught in the traps.
Everything arrived very quickly and excellently packaged. We are very pleased with the results.

Very pleased

Wanted a more natural way to deal with our clothes moth problem. Ordering and delivery were no problem. The sachets are very easy to use as you just place them in the right spot. They seem to be working as we haven't seen many months since we started using them but will be ordering some more as it's been 4 weeks. Will report back once the next course is finished.

Early experience

I have only used one round (about to order again) but haven't seen a moth since. It might be due to other measures or a combination, but honestly, anything that is helping I'll keep doing!

Do they work?

Find it difficult to know if anything has hatched. The envelopes still feel full and not noticed anything emerging. On plus side not see any moths but who knows if it is down to the sachets.
