The most prevalent Clothes Moth in the U.K. is the Tineola Bisselliella. The larvae of such Clothes Moth will damage a variety of garments, particularly those of natural origin, such as natural wool. Carpets are also subject to attack and infestation. Warm, contained settings such as wardrobes, cupboards and airing cupboards also provide an ideal environment for the larvae to develop. The larvae often produce a silk web that is much larger than the larvae itself. Clothes Moth can be active all year round between the temperatures of 15-33℃.

Trichogramma are very small parasitic wasps, hard to spot with the naked eye, but identifiable when they are situated on the outside of the packaging. They will seek out Clothes moth eggs and lay their own eggs inside them, parasitising the Clothes Moth eggs. They are harmless to humans and animals and remain only for as long as there are Clothes Moth eggs present.
Clothes Moths can be active all year round at indoor temperatures, and so too can these wasps. The wasps also require temperatures between 15-35℃.
The Trichogramma pupae are supplied in a paper sachet. Place the sachet on a horizontal surface at the site of infestation: i.e. on top of your clothing. Please be careful not to block the emergence hole. The wasps will emerge from inside the sachet and seek out the moth eggs.
As the small adult wasps tend to fly upwards, place the sachet low.
Please do not open the sachets since the sachets are supplied with an emergence hole. Please also do not place objects on top of the sachets as you may damage the pupae inside.
From each sachet 6000 parasitic wasps will emerge over a period of three weeks. The sachet is recommended to cover an area of 25m2.
We advise you to check pest numbers after application and consider applying more Trichogramma if numbers of Clothes moth remain high. For ongoing control, it is advised to replace the sachets every four weeks.

As the wasps will hatch at ambient temperatures it is recommended that you do not store the sachets. It is best to distribute them as soon as they arrive, placing them in the areas where clothes are active or suspected.
Yes, but do not release the wasps close to the traps. They will not be attracted to the traps but may fly in by accident and get stuck on the glue, so place the sachets away from where the traps are. We would still encourage the use of Clothes Moth traps, as they catch male moths and aid the control of Clothes moths as part of an integrated pest control program.
If you have Clothes Moth emerging from carpets, avoid hoovering entirely for 7-10 days after introduction of our Moth Egg Killer Sachets and reduce hoovering to a minimum for 3 weeks after application of sachet.
Please ensure no chemical treatments have been used prior to the introduction of Trichogramma. If you have used insecticides recently and are unsure how long the residues will remain, feel free to contact us.
Our Clothes Moth Pheromone Trap offers a safe and natural way to trap and catch the male adult Clothes Moth, preventing them from mating with the females, and reducing the overall Clothes Moth population. A pheromone lure is placed on the sticky surface inside the trap which gives off a sex pheromone that attracts the male Clothes Moth. The moths are then caught on the sticky surface inside the trap where they soon die. The traps can catch high numbers of Clothes Moths which results in reduced moth mating, egg laying, and infestation levels.
The pheromone lure that Dragonfli supplies will attract and catch the three main Clothes Moth species, which alternative Clothes Moth lures do not always achieve. The species our lure catches are listed below:
Our trap is highly effective, insecticide free and releases no odours.
Our traps are very simple to assemble. Firstly, open the foil sachet and remove the pheromone lure. Next, place this inside lure the trap. It does not matter which way round the lure goes. Finally, remove the covering paper from the sticky trap and push the trap together.
Place your trap in areas such as; wardrobes, large drawers, cupboards, or near materials that require protection and have suffered previous damage. If you have natural carpets, these also provide ideal egg laying sites for the Clothes Moth, so you may also wish to place a trap in such an area. The traps can be hung up or placed on a flat surface.
One trap is sufficient for one particular infestation area. To cover larger areas we suggest one trap every 25m2.
Clothes Moths can be active all year round at indoor temperatures, so set up the trap whenever you wish to control your infestation.
To keep the trap active, replace the first pheromone lure after 6 weeks, and use the second lure provided. The trap is supplied with two lures to give it a minimum of 12 weeks catching time.
You can purchase replacement Clothes Moth lures here.
If lures are to be stored and not used upon receipt, you may store them in a fridge or freezer.
