Fungus Fly Killer contains Steinernema feltiae nematodes for the effective biological control of Fungus / Sciarid Fly. The nematodes enter the larvae via a natural opening, like the mouth, and feed on the contents of the larvae. A natural bacterium is produced by the nematodes inside the larvae, which kills it. Infected larvae will be completely broken down by the nematodes. The nematodes also reproduce inside the larvae, releasing more nematodes into the surrounding area.
Mighty Mite contains the predatory mite; Macrocheles robustulus. This mite is a soil dwelling predator and feeds on Fungus Fly larvae and other small insect pests that it locates in the plant compost.
Our Yellow Eco Sticky Insect Traps are ideal for catching and monitoring levels of flying insect pests, such as Fungus Fly. Black grids are printed on the yellow sticky trap so the number of insects caught can easily be counted and compared with previous catches. These traps provide a highly useful method of identifying whether the pest population is increasing or declining.The traps are biodegradable and not made from plastic.
Apply your Fungus Fly Killer Bundle when damage to plants is observed or when Fungus Fly activity has been observed. Fungus Flies are active all year round and can be treated any time they appear.
Please bear in mind, however, that the minimum temperature for optimum use of Fungus Fly Killer Nematodes is 10℃,and slightly higher, at 15℃, for Mighty Mites.
Simply mix the nematodes in with water and apply in accordance with the supplied application instructions.
Mighty Mites should be gently sprinkled over plant soil in accordance with the supplied application instructions.
To apply the Eco Sticky Traps, simply peel off the release paper, hook the tie through the holes a the top of the trap, and hang near the plants you wish to protect.

You can store unopened nematode packs in a fridge but it is best to ensure you apply your nematodes as soon as possible for the best results.
You cannot store the Mighty Mites and these will need to be used on receipt.
Sticky Traps can be stored indefinitely in cool, dry conditions.
This bundle contains living creatures that can be affected by any chemical pesticides used within the previous few weeks. As a general guide, refrain from using Natural Pyrethrum or SB Plant Invigorator 2 days prior to use. Other chemical insecticides can have long lasting residues that could harm the insects for much longer periods. Refrain from using these products or check with Dragonfli for information on the effect of these products on our biological controls.
