Distribution Boxes Boost Dragonfli Predator Populations & Ensure Effective Application To Plants

Our distribution box has been designed specifically to enable easy application of various forms of biological control. The boxes also act as a breeding site for predators, so by utilising our boxes you are boosting the number of available predators and as such enhance your treatment.

This product is highly recommended for the application of the loosely packaged predators we stock such as:

Where Should I Use Place The Distribution Boxes?

The distribution box can be used to apply any of the above listed predators on your infested plants. The box is perfectly suited for use in areas where normal distribution of our predators is more difficult, for example; on trees, large plants, or plants with small leaves. The distribution box therefore offers an easy way to apply your beneficial insects to infected plants that may otherwise have been more difficult to treat.

How Do I Set Up The Distribution Boxes?

Simply construct your box by folding it together, distribute the contents of your predators inside the boxes, and hang the boxes with the attached hooks to the branches, stems, or leaves of the treatable plants. Your predators will then make their way out safely in search of pests.

How Many Distribution Boxes Do I Need?

We advise use of one distribution box per infested plant.

Works like a charm

I had a mini panic attack when I saw the thrip numbers on each of our plants (which number over 50). I was told about an insecticide (which I'm generally averse to using, preferring organic solutions over chemicals) but decided to try dragonflii instead. I bought swirskii and cucumeris and tried them in succession, and I have seen a remarkable decrease in thrip numbers. This was over the summer, so I was able to use both those. However, now that colder weather is here, I plan to use to andersonii so I can keep the thrips under control (I still see some adults strolling over the larger leaves).

One thing I'd say to anyone buying is to not leave out any of the rooms, even if looks like there aren't thrips on those plants. These critters have a remarkable way of being everywhere at once and I learned the hard way (left out the bathroom plants only to discover them full of thrips after a 3 week holiday).

Distribution boxes

I ordered these as the sachets were out of stock. I agree with everyone that they were easy to assemble, but it was unclear how much of the nematode medium I was meant to put in the boxes and, it rained not long after I positioned them and they fell off the fuschias with the weight of the wet medium. I have 2 badly affected fuschias and one seemed to improve from treatment, but not the other.

Unfortunately I have not seen any improvement. Perhaps time will tell.

Seen to be working

I think these are working... I can't see any of the bugs though so I'm not totally convinced. Time will tell!

Useful

Delivered promptly. The predators i put in these boxes must have worked as the plants grew away from the pest damage.
