The Spider Mite Control Bundle includes:
There are several species of Spider Mite with the most common being the Two Spotted Spider Mite (tetranychus urticae). These mites have an oval body and eight legs. They vary in colour from green, yellow, orange-red and dark brown. The eggs are circular and generally located on the underside of leaves. The damage will be evident with the yellowing of leaves, especially on the underside. Yellow dots will also show on top with the whole leaf eventually turning yellow. Spider Mites can also produce webbing on leaves when the population is high.
Amblyseius californicus - 10 Sachets
Amblyseius californicus predators are released from our unique foil sachets for up to four weeks. This provides a steady flow of predators onto plants which protects them from severe Spider Mite infestations. Californicus predators can also feed on other small mites and pollen and as such are able to remain active on the plants for long periods. They are the ideal follow up treatment to Phytoseiulus predators and the two species can be used together for a winning combination against Spider Mite.
Phytoseiulus persimilis - Bottle of 2,000
Phytoseiulus are one of the oldest and most popularly used predatory mites for the biological control of Spider Mites. The predators are capable of eating all stages of the Spider Mite life cycleand reproduce quickly on the plant to outcompete Spider Mite populations. A bottle application allows the predators to be applied in the included Distribution Boxes which enables them to disperse rapidly to seek out and kill the Spider Mites. Once the Spider Mites are consumed the Phytoseiulus die back and will not continue to be active on the plant.
Distribution Boxes - Pack of 10
Sometimes it can be difficult to apply bottled predators to relatively inaccessible spots where Spider Mite congregate, particularly at the top of plants if they are tall and winding. Dragonfli Distribution Boxes can be utilised to situate predators exactly where they need to be. Simply pour the predators into the boxes from the predator shaker bottles and hang the boxes from your plants near Spider Mite infestations. The predators will then exit the boxes to locate and kill the Spider Mite pests.
Koppert Hand Lens - x 1 (Free of Charge)
The Koppert Hand Lens is used by professional growers around the world to quickly identify Spider Mite infestations and monitor the progress of predatory mites used to control them. It provides an essential monitoring tool in the battle against many small insect pests.
The Spider Mite Control Bundle will provide your plants with the perfect combination of predators and the best applicational and observational apparatus to utilise them in protection from Spider Mite pests.

Amblyseius californicus & Phytoseiulus persimilis are living creatures and can be affected by any chemical pesticides used within the previous few weeks. As a general guide, refrain from using Natural Pyrethrum or SB Plant Invigorator 2 days prior to use. Other chemical insecticides can have long lasting residues that could harm the predatory mites for much longer periods. Refrain from using these products or check with Dragonfli for information on the effect of these products on the predatory mites.
Just as you can be allergic to cats, pollen, and dust mites, it is also possible to be allergic to the natural substances in predatory mites, feeder mites, and supplementary feeding products. If you are particularly allergy prone and concerned about the potential effects of our mites please contact your local GP prior to purchase. Please note that allergic reactions to our mites are extremely rare.
